ISKO I-SKOOL™ 5 Denim Design Award announces the 20 candidates shortlisted to compete in the contest that will lead the students to create their own denim garment through a dedicated educational path.
The 20 shortlisted finalists come from some of the best fashion academies throughout the world, amongst ISKO I-SKOOL™ 5 partnering schools.
They will all soon start the Educational Program leading them to develop their ideas and turn their project into reality through a dedicated path made of real expertise transmission, knowledge development, and information sharing. A path designed to introduce young talents to the many aspects of the denim world, starting from its very beginning: the design phase.
Through the Denim Seminar (19-20 March 2018), a unique two-day intensive workshop that will be led by the ISKO I-SKOOL™ team with CREATIVE ROOM™ (the Italian ISKO™ specialized center for design and style research) experts’ support, students will acquire the knowledge necessary to turn their project into real garments. Shoulder to shoulder with their tutors and ISKO I-SKOOL™ partner experts, students will also explore the latest issues in the denim sector, especially those related to sustainability, trying to imagine the “UnDocumented” future of denim, as set out in the main creative theme guidelines.
After the seminar, the students will have to hand over the projects and start producing their garments, which will be the protagonists of the Award Ceremony and final catwalk to be held in July, as is the contest’s tradition.
